In 2014 the Italian woman in space

(ANSA) – Rome, 3 JUL – expected in November 2014 the mission that will see the first astronaut Italian woman in space, Samantha Cristoforetti, European Space Agency (Esa). The announcement was made today in Rome by the President of the Agency Space Italiana (Asi), Enrico azarae.

Samantha Cristoforetti, Captain of the Italian air force, will arrive at the international space station (Iss) on Board of the Russian shuttle Soyuz, for a mission of long duration.
