High-tech show lights up Rome’s Forum
P(ANSA) – Rome, April 22 – A high-tech sound and light show will illuminate Rome’s ancient Forum of Augustus from now through the summer, to help guests better imagine life in the Eternal City 2,000 years ago.BRAs Rome marks its 2,767th birthday this week, the city government has created a technological spectacle for visitors that will be shown three times nightly, with narration via headphones in six languages.BRThe show, involving a system of projectors throwing the images of ancient structures onto walls still standing in the Forum, will guide visitors through daily life in Rome at the time of Augustus, who died in 14 A.D.BR/P
